I have an 87 year old friend who had a partial, and just had to go back in and have the partial torn out and a total knee replacement done… Today’s technology and materials are AMAZING!

And, YES, as soon as I regain the strength in my glutes, hammies, and quads… 10-12 years of limping around on bum knees cost me a lot of muscle mass below the waist…

Sounds like a personal problem…🤣

Good morning AARP crew, oops, I mean libations crew. Says the lady with 2 hip replacements. Lol
The cleaning and organizing/purging continue.
I was to meet a friend for lunch today, but she asked to postpone because her eye feels funny. She had cataract surgery a few days ago, speaking of AARP.
Joints going bad are one thing, but can we avoid that C word please! I have seen enough of that shit this year and the aftermath of what is left for the surviving spouse. It freaking sucks to no end! Rant over.
I again have some sucky coffee for anyone that really needs a caffeine fix.

Want to let everyone know that our granddaughters surgery removing her cancerous thyroid was long but successful. Apparently it was caught very early and no lymph nodes had to be removed. She will have to take replacement hormone for the rest of her life, but she has a great prognosis. Thank you for your prayers

I've been in the orthopedic manufacturing business for over 35 years and I can tell you that the surgeon makes all the difference. If you would rather stay fairly close to your home, DM me and I can get you a name of a great surgeon in your area. The area sales reps know which ones they would let their parents go to and which ones to stay away from. I can make a few calls and get you a name.

The best advice I can give you is "just do it!" After you get it done, you'll wonder why you wasted so many years in pain. Also make sure you do rehab 110%. Yes, it will hurt but the end game will be worth it.

Thanks @Deano Bronc I’ll keep this in mind. I’m not sure I’m ready for a replacement (talking myself out of it again) as my pain comes and goes. For a couple months the pain is severe, walking with a definite limp and to the point it keeps me awake at night. No relief standing, sitting, or laying down. But, then one day it will quit and I little to no discomfort for 3-4 months. Then boom! It’s back. Really weird….
