If you are out in the Western Pacific… HAPPY NEW YEAR!
I truly hope for each of you a great and prosperous year in 2025.
Coffee this morning is an assortment of K-pods with everything from Sumatra and Dark Magic to some light roast that is difficult to call coffee. Donut run in the near future, so if you have a druther let me know…
2025 will come with many changes, hoping the least of these is much better mobility as a result of the two Steves. Our son stationed in Georgia with his family will be PCS’ing to Logan, UT where he will be a ROTC instructor at Utah State University. It has been a dream of his to teach ROTC, and will be a good posting to retire from in a few years. I haven’t been to a high school reunion since my 10th, and 2025 will mark 50 years since graduation, and the reunion will happen in mid-October… wow, I’m getting old!
Lots of travel planned, including two Bronco trips to Moab and also to Colorado… Also a three week jaunt to Japan to enjoy a new country with my island grands and their parents… This trip was the impetus to finally getting the knees done, and 2025 promises to give the new knees a good shakedown cruise.
Resolutions? I usually refrain but this year I have a few I need to keep in front of me.
1. Finish Randy’s manuscript before the end of January (
@BostonBadlands )
2. Make good use of the new hinges… lots of years of bad habits to change
3. Get all the Bronco stuff in my garage installed on OB-1
4. Show more grace and patience with the resident troll(s) here on BN
I don’t say it enough, but starting the day with y’all helps keep me sane and smiling. It’s really gratifying knowing there are lots of “just normal joes” out there who are excited and “into” Broncos and enjoy sharing their excitement.
If you’re facing medical challenges in 2025 please make sure you’re not facing stuff alone… reach out to one of us via the forums or (more confidentially) a DM (conversation) and let us know how we can help. Sometimes knowing that there are folks out there who are aware and available if needed makes alot of difference. Sometimes help will be a joke or perhaps a small token, but little things go a long long way…
HAPPY NEW YEAR!
Be a good human this year!
