I am only touching on some holidays.

New Year's Eve - Amateur Night.
MLK Day - Remembrance of the man and his accomplishments.
Ground Hog Day - Lies
Valentines Day - Made up holiday to sell greeting cards, flowers and Chocolates.
St. Patrick's Day - Another excuse to drink.
Memorial Day - Remembrance of the servicemen and women that died for this country. BBQ, but remember.
Independence Day, (the real name for 4th of July) The birthdate of our country and the separation from English rule. The beginning of the Revolutionary War. Celebrate and remember the ppl that died for country.
Labor Day - I know what they say that it's about the Labor Movement. Light the BBQ and Drink!
Columbus Day - He discovered America. It was the year 1492. Just leave it at that.
Veteran's Day - Remembrance
Thanksgiving - Celebration
Pearl Harbor Day - Remembrance
Christmas - Remembrance, Celebration, Family.

Belated Merry Christmas to Bronco Nation. Sorry, we were at my brothers a bit late last night and when we got home, I had to get the garbage and recycles out.

I have to replace my tires. I was looking at the Yokohama Geolander At4's. Any thoughts?

Good morning....do you hear what I hear......I hope not..Nothing like the sound of heavy equipment doing it's thing out front of your house. I'll admit the new blower mounted on a loader is rather impressive it is quite loud. 22 degrees and 8+ inches the last 24hrs. We are WAY behind in the snow department this year.

On to the good stuff....COFFEE is ready...and I'm stalling my gas plant plowing since the driver said he will be two hours late. Enjoy the time off if you are one of the fortunate ones. Be a good human...today and everyday!

There is only one of those days I consider a holiday to celebrate, 4th of July.

The PNW is getting whacked with rain down low and snow up high, and our highway (2-lane) is clogged by those heading to the ski resort at Stevens Pass 35 miles away… An earlier post reminds me of the locals here who have nothing better to do than complain about all the “city folk” plugging up “our” highway… I decided long ago that miserable people hate being miserable alone, but insist on sharing their miserableness (a better word than misery) with others in hopes of getting a sympathetic response…

Kirkland Colombian is brewing and sending lots of good smells through the house. Hoping to get outside for a short walk or two between rain storms, but we’ll see. SA 2.0 continues to heal, and hopefully we’ll get some real range of motion improvement next week… Breakfast will likely be something simple, but who knows what Sonya might whip up…

Thinking of those traveling today, whether by planes, trains, or automobiles… Be safe, and defensive if driving as there are some serious crazies out there, and it seems they are always late for wherever they are going…

@Deano Bronc , what news from NC these days? I hate that those who were victims of the big storms quickly pass out of our minds thanks to our short attention spans and short news cycles…

I think that’s it today my Cougars play their Bowl game, but with 26 players, including starting QB, and head coach and others not participating it will likely be an anticlimactic ending to the season… The more they mess with college athletics the worse it becomes for everyone, me thinks… (ok, off soapbox now).

I've had some Yokohma's over the years. I think they are a pretty good tire. I think I had them on a pick up before. Could have been a bike..

Wifey's yorkshire pudding, vegges, casserole, mincemeat pie and my rib roast/au jus provided good eats. We're big spiked eggnog fans here too. Both bourbon and rum versions were greatly enjoyed as 5 qts of nog went down.

Getting older, these holiday gatherings are even more special.

Does Canada really want to be the 51st, state? There would be a few things that would have to be worked out. Our beer alcohol percentage would have to be increased to the Canadian content. Just not fair to them. We have to be inclusive.

Canadian Bacon? It would have to be renamed to what it is. Canadian Circular Ham Slices! Really? I think we all know what bacon looks like.

They would need to recognize that Lacrosse or Hockey is not going to be the National sport. It will be football! Not the CFL! It will be the NFL, and the League will think about letting you into the League or using you as the minor league.

The currency will be our currency. There will be no Loons or Queens. I actually like the Maple Leaf, so that can be a suggestion.

There needs to be an explanation about what exactly French Fries and Gravy is. (Poutine).

Figure out why the Canadian Niagara Falls is cleaner than the US Niagara Falls?
