I hate to say it, I'm thinking that they made a mistake (like hitting the gas instead of the brake) but are looking to see if they can sue. Once they got called out, they pulled down the post. I hope I'm wrong about that.

I lost my brother a month ago to fucking cancer. We were very close. He came out to New Mexico a year ago and spent a month with me exploring the desert and mountains and flying our drones out there, and he loved it. Today his wife sent me a pendant with his ashes inside. So now he will be going on rides with me from now on...

Sorry for your loss. F CANCER! But what a great way to honor him!
I love this idea. I didn't want to wear Jeff's ashes. But I want him with me wherever I go in my Bronco.
This would be a great way to do it. And I may be able to keep my humming bird wind chimes too.

Did you turn off the locker after you goosed it and before you turned? i remember being told to immediately turn off the front locker after an obstacle and before turning.

I agree, that is exactly how Jeff and I felt about the front locker. And I have watched a few You Tube videos about tie rods that recommend the same thing.
But, I was going to have to keep the front locker on until the rear tires got up. And man, it didn't look like there was enough room for that. But, yes, I was able to turn it off as soon as I felt the rear tires get all the way up.
One reason I didn't play on the ledges was because of all the bouncing the JLU and the Gladiator did to get up them. Front Locker and bouncing are also not a good combo.

What tires are you running? I’m still using the Goodyear tires that came on mine and they were fine going through mud a foot deep in the desert recently.

KO3's version 1.0 (I heard BFG now has a version 2.0).
I wasn't having issues getting through the mud, other than the Bronco was only going in the ruts (as were the Jeeps and 4-Runner). But having to climb rocks with mud laden tires was a struggle. And it was for the Jeeps and Toyota.

Oil change day and then appointment with the service department so I can ask "what the F is going on with my rear shock recall? Why the F haven't I been called that the parts are in and I can bring it for repairs?
Dealing with dealerships and car repairs may be the hardest part of being a widow.

So glad your brother got to spend some time with you in NM in his last year. We have lost a number of members and relations to cancer in the last year and it really is sobering.

The pendant is awesome… what a great reminder of his presence.

Good Friday Morning, Kids!
As I sit here sipping coffee I’m watching the sun slowly make its way out of the mountains and into what’s going to be a very nice awakening of the day. Last day of reasonable weather and then a week of rain and gray ensues…

@Astronaut ’s post reminded me of the need to keep short accounts with friends and family alike. We all lose when one of “ours” loses a loved one, whether to cancer or anything else. Take the time, say the words, make a moment, TODAY!

The calendar for 2026 is starting to slowly fill in, and with new knees and upgraded stuff on OB1 we are expecting to be able to 4-wheel a little more this year than last. Planning to spend February in @Lots O Fords ‘s neck of the woods, and see what this “snow birding” stuff is all about. Likely will bring the F150 hybrid as its such an amazing road car (and the road is long), and the goal of the trip is family and friends more than wheeling… Moab and SD are on the calendar for wheeling later in 2026…

Interesting, because I can't find any posts about this from her on Bronco Nation Facebook group. (just a reminder, that Facebook group has nothing to do with this forum). If the admins DID pull it down, she should have received a message from Facebook stating why it was removed. I have my theories, but at this point, it's all moot anyway.

Good morning! This is the day that Steve is really missed. Cereal and toons! Hope our little buddy is enjoying both wherever he is.
I got the shock recall completed yesterday, along with the oil change. And got the Bronco all cleaned up again. Just in time for Moab. Don't look close though, there is still some underneath in the nook and crannies.
I talked to my sister last night. I'm flying back to Indy for Christmas.
The holidays will not be easy this year. But, I am looking forward to them.
I have an early lunch date and then I hope to get Christmas lights put up outside. And if not today, I will get them up and the timers all set before I go to Moab. It is a must!

Just so you know. Wickenburg celebrates "gold rush days" Feb 11-15. Parade, rodeo and fun stuff. Town gets very busy this weekend. Lots of fun stuff.
