Summer is when your constantly +10, not just a couple days. For many outside native folks hot is +11 - 19. F'n hot is +20 and above. luckily those are just a couple days. Planes stop taking off at +18.
Now remember, that "in the shade" temperature. I have measured temp, in a locked up car at +40. That's when you have to tap the steering wheel to turn it, cuz its to hot to hold. Chrome door handless, remember them? Couldn't touch them.

Of course people that are always inside think its f'n hot at -10
I saw a photo in the news the other day. A first responder holding up a sign saying "stop hiking in the heat" Seems they are constantly rescuing folks that, don't have enough sense to get out of the sun. Some times its just recovery and not rescue.
As for me, I have no idea how people deal with cold and snow.
Any time we hit 98 degrees...........Sorry........ -2 degrees, the news makes it sound like the end of the world is just around the corner.
