I received a letter in the mail for an extended warranty. I gave them a call to see. I have 55K miles on mine so they want $120 to come look at the truck to make sure it's OK. I asked if I could take it to my dealer, etc, they said no. STRIKE ONE. I then asked for the price of the insurance. The bumper to bumper, power train and electronics is $6K, STRIKE TWO, for 4 years or 75K miles. It also has an $800 deductible per incident. STRIKE THREE.
