What did you do to your Bronco today?

Exactly what the title states - putting a thread together where we can come and post little tidbits of anything we have done today, and as we build them to our own tastes.

That's a terrible idea, when do we start?

Thanks for the great explanation… Being from the PNW, I’m not sure I know what this sun you speak of is…

Maybe I’ll need to add a dash cover for my wintering-in-Arizona stints…

Yes, here in Bulgaria and southern Europe temperatures sometimes are rising up to 40 degrees Celsius (104 degrees Fahrenheit) and more... And a lot of sun, of course...
During the winter the Bronco was fine with the heating, now we must see it during the summer - Air conditioning and engine cooling...

I highly recommend the Badlands 1.5 ton jack it takes up some room but so glad I had it this past week.

Yup, that bad boy got some use in Baja! I was already looking at that but now it is on my list to get.

If I recall, we were on a small off-shoot trail at the time which I assume would have added significant cost to any recovery...

Worse case, we could have loaded your tire into @OrangecrushBronco or my vehicle and drove it to a tire repair shop (probably at least 40 m miles away), had it repaired, and brought back to your Bronco. Or we could have used my tire repair kit. A serious PIA either way...

I'm still wondering what caused the flat in the 1st place since we didn't find any signs of the protrusion...

The spare came in handy and only put us down for what, like 10 minutes before we were back on the trails?

Was a super fun day though.. 👍
The good 'ol days. Lol. Miss our adventures and good company. We had the 3 best Bronco colors in my opinion too.

Went to a Cars and Coffee and Got to Flex in the middle of a bunch of Maseratis, Porsches, Lambos, McLarens, and other half million dollar exotics....

Flex. I see what you did there. Did the "Sith Edition" get new wheels? I don’t recall seeing those last time I had eyes on it. The F.B.I knows how to live. I keep missing all their swag releases because I refuse to do facebook but its a great club to hang with when I roam that way. I hope to make some of the events in the coming summer.

yea much lighter. I originally got the panel to mount a jerry can to but, I just can't bring myself to pay what companies want for the can and mounting hardware. it's insane. Especially since I'm never really that far from a gas station here in the southeast. Not sure what I'll ever hang from it. Trail trash bag maybe. Backup/work light??
I'm with you on the jerry can prices. They've been on my list for a while but I just can't justify that. If i go offroading I just safely secure regular gas cans to my roof rack. Something I never even thought of is you can't necessarily take Jerry cans everywhere either. Last time I took the ferry to Vancouver Island they looked at the Bronco and asked if I had jerry cans. The tone very much implied they're a no-no.

I was never the doomsday prepper type myself, either. Then again, with WWIII upon us (for no good reason), and the resultant zombie apocalypse looming, it only seems natural to get what seems to be logical, sensible, and pragmatic accessories for our rigs. Although,

Oh yah.... Vader got a 5 inch lift and new wheels to go with 37 inch tires.... He even got a life size storm trooper to hold his brag sheet... That Sith edition is looking good! You should take a close look at that blue one too.... Mitch picked up some EB gen 1 fender flares and cut his fenders to accommodate.... Really gets heads turning wondering is that a gen 6 or a gen 1... looks really awesome!

Yeah I was scoping the wheel/tire setup on Big Blue. Quite striking. That is a formidable trio there.

I occasionally find myself wishing I had a trailer like @raqball 's or the armored Mammoth with the bear spray Canon incase I ever had to survive off the grid in apocalyptic times.

Hood insulation pad.
Looks good… function of the pad? Heat? Noise?
This is the first one I’ve seen…

My Badlands came with one. Doesn’t Obi have one? All Broncos should have them, but not all do. I think they muffle some engine noise and may have some insulating properties.

Yes they used to come standard on some BL models until Ford cut cost and stop putting them. I think all Raptors have them. Helps shield the inner hood paint and metal from prolonged heat, reduces hot spots above turbo charger and engine bay, reduces some cabin noise and fire safety buffer. My MINI Coupe has this as well.

went and checked, I do have one… I’m surprised they would have cut that from new model years
