62 year old retired guy here. Bought a 2024 Wildtrak a couple of weeks ago from Bill Utter Ford in Denton. We waited through the availability issues, the supply chain issues, the ADM issues, and other landmines and so glad we did. The incentives now are very, very good and we got a good price on a trade-in.

I will post a picture later, but I am here to learn about modifications that are actually worthwhile. Right now the primary concern is with full skid plating and getting an Off Rodeo booked. Horseshoe Bay is obviously the closest, but something about the Moab Off Rodeo is very compelling, so we are strongly considering that.

Great to meet you all. Look forward to some great times here!

Welcome to Bronco Nation and the Bronco family. I had intended on going to the Moab Off-Roadeo but certain circumstances had me shift to the New Hampshire location. If you can do it, I'd go for the Moab location. There is nothing like Moab. Last spring I was fortunate enough to take the Bronco out to Moab and the place is unbelievable. You won't be sorry.

The one big regret that I have now is that I didn't get all the skids before I started hitting some of the harder stuff. It really did a number underneath which all could have been prevented if I had the proper skids on it. Nothing broke, just a lot of scraped up and bent stuff. Especially the transmission braces!
2022 Bronco Badlands, 4D, Hot Pepper Red, 2.7, Squatch, Lux, and MIC.
7/13/2020 10:04pm reservation. Blend 6/16/2022 Delivered 6/26/2022.
Dealership - Stephen's Auto Center.

Thank you very much for the suggestion and greeting. Do you have a recommended vendor for the Wildtrak skid plating? I hope to not be left with a redundant piece for the front skid plate that comes with.

There are a lot of great vendors out there with great products. Some will require a new front skid while others do not. Just make sure you read the fine print. I have a Badlands so I know I have some skids you do not have.

For the transmission and transmission cross member skids, I went with RCI. They do not require you to switch out the front skid.
Here are the transmission skids https://rcimetalworks.com/product/a-arm-skid-plates-21-present-bronco/
Transmission skid - https://rcimetalworks.com/product/transmission-skid-plate-19-present-bronco/
I kept the stock Transfer case skid but you probably don't have it at all.
RCI - https://rcimetalworks.com/product/transfer-case-skid-plate-21-present-bronco/

I have gas tank skids already but if you're not rock crawling, not sure that your really need them. RCI has those too.

The other ones I put on are these : https://dv8offroad.com/collections/bronco-skid-plates/products/6th-gen-bronco-rear-shock-guard-skids
It looks like these will not fit the Hoss 3.0 shocks which I'm pretty sure you have. This will give you an idea of what they look like but before ordering any brand, make sure they fit the Hoss 3.0 Fox shocks.

I also recommend something like these from IAG: https://iagoffroad.com/iag-rock-armor-rear-lower-trailing-arm-skid-plate-for-2021-ford-bronco/
I liked these because I didn't need to drop the fuel tank to install them. If you plan on putting fuel tank skids on yours, then just about any brand will be better than nothing.
This area also gets beat up pretty bad.

Like I mentioned, there are a lot of companies out there, but these are just the ones that I picked. I'm sure others will have some great suggestions also.

Welcome to the Nation, Neighbor! Southern Hill Country here.
BOR Moab would be awesome but BORT in Marble Falls was surprisingly good, that is the one we attended. if you do go to MOAB take several days extra to spend in MOAB and take your Bronco you will have to drive one of their Broncos at the BOR but afterward you can apply your newly obtained knowledge and tackle some of the Moab trails, there are plenty and you will return. and get this book. https://www.betterworldbooks.com/pr...kLbwI5fZV3FgNdcOKkGJQbZvvoQ1W3HEaAumiEALw_wcB

For skids these folks are super nice and they are a Texas company. https://talonsgarage.com/products/ford-bronco-full-skid-plate-package-2022-2024

Also you are about 275 miles away from some of the Best off-Roading in Texas at Palo Duro Canyon https://merusadventure.com/

Yeah, good stuff. I really like their transmission skid since it completely covers the crossmembers too.
