Finally went with my wife, daughter, and pups. It was great. The trip down was more sketchy than going up but happy I hit those cords!

Nicely done.
Maybe we will have to make a detour on our trip to Baja and check this out. I have been wanting to see it since 2021.

I had heard it was still a decent climb so been working up my driving skills. Took 6 months but patience paid off. One point on the way down 3 wheeled it at 22 degrees.
Maybe a visit to the King of the Hammers next year!
We are going next year. This year was the first year the pass was all weekends. Not individuals. So we are planning for next year to do the weekends and take advantage of it.

It will be well worth it. I found the trail up, which is probably the way you went down, was much more rutted and challenging than previous years. Many more exposed rocks. They got washed out due to rains in late 2025, early 2026.
