I took my Hoss to U-Haul Red Bluff to have them install and wire in a tow hitch. The tow hitch went in no problem, but wiring became an issue. I guess you have to have a module and a Ford Dealer has to "flash" the Hoss to operate the trailer lights? Has anyone installed a hitch to their Bronco? Did you have to get the module from the dealer and did you have to have your Hoss flashed, or is there a work around? Thanks in advance

Yup you are correct, there is a module that needs to be installed & programmed. You can do this yourself if you have the right equipment, but most people don't so usually makes sense to have the dealer do it.

The kit from Ford comes with everything you need. The tow hitch, the module, any wiring you need (for 2025, you only need the connector on the end), etc. etc.

There are third party wiring kits that will also work, but you won't be able to use them with the factory wiring that's already there. And they also won't integrate with the Bronco's safety systems. For example, when you plug in a trailer into the Bronco it'll automatically disable the BLIS warning system, rear parking sensors, etc. and give you the ability to run a trailer light check through your Sync screen.
