The message appears intermittently and then disappears on its own. The voltage drops into the 12V range without any change in load, then returns to 13–14V, at which point the message clears. There are no service alerts in the Ford app or "wrench on the dash". The battery was replaced in November 2025 by a Ford dealer prior to my purchase of the vehicle.
Since there are no active codes, would taking it to a Ford dealer likely result in an unnecessary diagnostic fee?

Battery or alternator is my guess.. I am not saying the dealer didn't replace the battery when you purchased it, but.........

If they didn't actually replace the battery, and reset the BMS, then it's 4-years old at this point and is more than likely the issue.. I just replaced my battery at the 2 1/2 year mark..

Are you gettIng deep sleep notifications in the Ford App?

I'd have the battery tested and if it's fine, then that narrows it down a bit. Most auto parts stores like Napa etc will test your battery for free..

Good luck!

Batteries die faster then, well...just fast. I have an eight year old F-150 and I'm on the 3rd battery. As the saying goes "The old grey mare just ain't what it used to be". China batteries, vehicles loaded with electronics, die hard is normal.

You got the FORD BOT. Don't expect much as you are out of warranty. This BOT comes on here to make it look like FORD cares...BUT THEY DON'T!!

Battery is under 6month old, but its a good idea, I’ll run by auto parts store and have them test it.
