I live in the desert, when it gets over 105 degrees I notice a loss of power upon accelerating. Doesn't matter what mode I'm in or if the airconditioner is running. I notice there was recall issue on previous models concerning the fuel pump in warm weather. Anybody else have this problem?

How much of a loss of power?
What motor do you have?
What octane fuel?
Any tune?
I haven’t noticed but I really don’t notice a difference between 87 and 93 octane in my 2.3l. Or is it going into a limp mode?

If this is like my F-150 when the eng. temp gets too high, 265 or over, the motor does an auto shutdown. Max speed becomes 50 or 55 mph and you will notice a loss of performance. Had this happen on my way to Colorado a couple summers ago. 103 outside, above 230 the temp gauge shows the actual numbers. Mine got to 262 and I pulled off the road and called my dealer. My 2¢. Forgot to add I was towing my 09 JK on the trailer.

I'm in Phoenix. 23 Badlands 2 door 2.7 automatic. I've never had an issue. Temp's 110 degrees and up. I do a lot of day trips and never noticed anything. I have about 36K miles.

Does it feel like a fuel flow issue, a breathing issue or a limp mode/mechanical issue? If it feels like its struggling to breath with the hot air a clean air filter is the quickest easiest thing to check and can't hurt even if it isn't an issue. A cold air intake and/or better intercooler may help given the high Temps.

You should start out by saying it is a Bronco Sport. That way other sport owners might have more insite.

I didn't realize that you had a Sport. That's a completely different engine. Mine wouldn't apply. Thanks
