Driver Side Window Issue, Please Help!

I have a not even 2 month old 2025 Bronco OBX, and last night my window decides to not stay up and the automatic function stops working only when rolling the window up. I googled any quick fixes which was to roll the window all the way down, hold for 5-10 seconds, then do the same thing when the window is up, but unfortunately, when I get the window all the way up it goes back down. My local Ford service cannot see me until Monday. Is there any fix for this where the window will not stay up? The window will also not do its thing where it drops down a little when you open the door and then goes back up in the suction when you shut the door. In need of a fix ASAP. Thank you!

Same issue with my 2024 Wildtrack. They had a service bulletin on the issue and had to reprogram it.

Do not panic! This is normal.

Your window switch is two-stage. It has a soft click detent to auto-roll the window up. When you are doing the window re-learn procedure, you can't use the second click auto function - or the window reaches the top and rolls right back down. It's very easy to make this mistake.

Do the procedure again, but when you roll up, slowly pull the switch one click so that you are manually rolling it up. If you pull the switch all the way, you just enabled auto-roll up.

Try the relearn procedure with the door open. Does it automatically return down when there is nothing restricting it?

If not, check the rubber gaskets around the window for debris. Run your finger through it and make sure none of it curled under or caught. Then try the procedure again.

Also, make sure the engine is running while you do the relearn procedure. Certain modules don't get power when accessories are on but the ignition is off. I'm not 100% sure if the window relearn procedure needs the ignition running, but that has made a difference for me in the past.

Still goes down when the door is open. I ran my finger through it, still does not work. Engine is running the entire time I’ve done any attempts at fixing it. Going in Monday morning early. If you have any other ideas, please share! I have also tried when just pressing the power button without the brake.

Weird my passenger front did that a few times one day, but I was able to roll it up after it rolled down. I realized it only happened when I used the global down feature. Maybe worth a shot but go out to the Bronco and hit the unlock button on the fob then push it again and hold it. All the windows should roll down at once. Start the bronco then roll the windows up one at a time, not using the auto up feature. If the driver goes down automatically then try rolling it up again. Might be a long shot but easy enough to try it. Good luck.

It might very well need a software update. My bag of tricks is all used up.

Did you remote start it? After the global down try remote start then push the start button on the dash and try that. Maybe …


Also try sticking you tongue out just a little when you do it.

Disconnect the battery, wait a minute, and then reconnect it? Perhaps it is time for a hard reboot? @Ford Motor Company may be able to provide further assistance.
