Hey guys,

I am the proud owner of a 2024 Wildtrak 4 doors. The left rear window keeps rolling down. If you hit the switch and roll it back up, as soon as it hits the top it automatically goes down. I tried the window reset procedure but to no avail. I had a similar problem with my old F-150 and had to replace the window motor.

I am a new Bronco owner and still learning about the mechanics. Can someone advise what the problem may be and which part I need to replace?

Thank you in advance for taking the time to read my post!

Can you ever get the window to stay rolled up, or does it roll down by its self every time? The windows on some of these Broncos have a mind of their own. My passenger front will do that if I globally open all windows with the remote after I remote start it. Then when I go to close the windows the passenger front with open again but just once then it will stay closed if I close it again.

Hi there, thank you for answering my post! The window sadly rolls down by its own every time. In order to close it, you have to roll it up and leave half an inch open

I have the same problem with my rear passenger window. I used the window lock to stop it. When I get my appointment for the camera replacement, I'm going to see if they can check that too.

I thought I had the issue but realized my dog would lay down near me and press the window buttons in the back. For hours I was wondering what the heck was happening.

Same thing happened to me and I figured out the top roof seal above the window had popped out of place just a bit. I snapped it back in and the window works perfectly now.

Had the same issue...resolved by the dealership changing connecters on a harness, and that's after Ford swapped out some of the other harness.

Took 6 months and a Lemon law buyback, but on the day of signing the docs for the buyback, the dealer called and said they had it fixed. No problem since

The article by Melissa linked in the first reply by @u2baby has a good description of how to reset it.

Here's the full procedure directly from the owner's manual:

Resetting One-Touch Close
Carry out all steps within 30 seconds of starting the sequence.
1. Fully open the window.
2. Lift and hold the window control until the window is fully closed. Keep the window control held for two seconds.
3. Press and hold the window control until the window is fully open. Keep the window control pressed for two seconds.
4. Lift and hold the window control until the window is fully closed. Keep the window control held for two seconds.
Note: Repeat the procedure if the window does not close when you use one-touch.
