Hello again all,
Well, as of yesterday afternoon, I am officially the owner of a 2024 Bronco Sport. Outer Banks, black exterior. I am excited. I can already tell I will have a learning curve because it is very different from my 2016 Escape. It rides differently, it's a bit noisier, the steering wheel is smaller and I feel like it's a bit higher to step in then the Escape. And because it is heavier the braking and acceleration is different. Not bad things, just different from what I'm used to, therefore a learning curve. But I am confident this old dog can learn new tricks.
I had originally thought I wanted a Badlands trim, but when the dealership sold the one I was looking at I turned to the Outer Banks and found that it is really a bit more of what I wanted. A bit less off road and more daily driver. The seats are closer to the Escape in feel, softer than the Badlands. It has memory seats which was an essential for me and it also has the cargo management system which I wanted.
My goal now is to pare down the junk I had accumulated in my vehicle that I really don't need to carry around. And to get comfortable enough with the difference to drive into downtown Atlanta in two weeks (always a fun time).
