Awesome. You got lots of options.
Specs:
- Front dash - 100mm (4-inch) speaker
- Kick Panels - 165mm (6.5-inch) speaker
- Most 6.75-inch speakers also work
- Rear pods - 100mm (4-inch) speaker
- Pretty common to upgrade these to 6.5-inch speakers with aftermarket pods
- Subwoofer - 170mm (6.75-inch)
Personally I took advantage of a Black Friday sale a few years ago on Kicker speakers, and now run all Kicker KS series. I like them a lot and would buy them again, but frankly there are tons of options.
I have a full series on YouTube on my own upgrade, welcome to skim through the videos around to see what it'll take. They were literally my first videos on YouTube, so a little cringy and not super high quality, but all of the information is still good. First video in the series is here.

Ironically I have watched some of your other vids before you posted this lol.. I will look into what you recommended.. When summer ends. I will be running topless more, so I need to figure something out.

This is what I did to my 2023 2 door Wildtrak. I had heard the sound was bad in the Broncos, but didn't realize how bad until I got mine. Quality was totally unacceptable. I wanted the system to remain looking "as stock" as possible. I kept the radio and swapped out everything else. The only thing that you can notice is, the small blue light on the base volume control below the steering column and if you look closely, the speaker enclosures mounted on the rollbar are a little bit larger. Went to Crutchfield and hung out with an advisor in the car sound room and we built this system. I'm lucky enough to live close by, so they installed it all as well. It wasn't cheap, but It's sounds and looks awesome. Well worth the $$$ to me to ride around with quality sound, full top, no top, 1/2 top, whatever. Good Luck with your quest.

Can you share the ballpark installed price?

Sorry been out of town. I think it was around 2,800 including install…the JL bass speaker was the big ticket item that was the tough decision, I think it was 1400 or so. At the time only one I found on the market that fit factory space, etc. I did want the one that ate up space in tali gate…

Thanks for the reply. Wow has Crutchfield changed! Were you at the Charlottesville location or the Harrisonburg store?
Prompted by this thread, last Thursday I stopped in at the C-ville location (home base for Crutchfield) to listen to the 6-3/4" Kicker 51KSC6704 for the kick panels and the 4" Kicker KSC40 for the dash and rollbar locations. Nice greeter guy assisted me as I walked in. He took me to the speaker listening room. Wait, what? A small room with a big screen and some speaker system that synthesizes the audio output of the speaker you want to listen to. With a WTF look on my face I asked, "So, okay, so there are no Kickers in here to listen to, there is some sort of synthesizer?" The greeter guy starts in with some words, "The engineering lab at Blacksburg (i.e. Virginia Tech) has developed a... that mimics the...". He then goes on to say the Kickers I want to purchase are power hungry and would sound better with an amp, blah, blah, blah..."; "And they are not in the system to listen to anyway...". He tried to down-sell me Kicker's next model line down with foam surrounds (vs. the KSC series' rubber surrounds); because KSC series are "power hungry" vs. the CSC series (even though both sizes within each series have the same sensitivity at 1W). I said, "Thanks, I really don't want to go down that road with amps and etc. The stock speakers would sound better too with more power". He then looked at me weird. LOL.
I really was just going to buy a set of three speaker pairs and was trying to avoid buying on line and shipping to my home (since I was already right there in C-ville and the speakers were in stock). You know, save some shipper's diesel fuel since I was driving home anyway... It's a Bronco after all, noisy as all get out and I run with the top off a lot; not like it's a sound studio environment. I don't expect much from it; it sounds good enough to me for an ORV when you adjust the midrange output down to balance it a bit. My '22 doesn't have a sub from the factory. I have no desire to go down that path either. I was just going to drop $250 into some aftermarket speakers and see if the sound improved. The Kickers can take a decent level of input power, so IF I wanted to jump in with an amp I could go with something reasonable later on. Right now, I'm just looking at plug n' play.
Glad you got the system you liked. I was just interested in the installed price and since Crutchfield built a decent solution for you, I thought I'd consider it too.

Cville. I agree, any speakers would be an upgrade. Sounds like you had a good plan in mind. Do the speaker and add an amp later is a good plan. I think the kickers sound very good. I installed several systems in the “old days” when things were simple. Way too complicated now, and I didn’t want to fool with it, they did do a very nice clean job. No issues so far 2 yrs later.
Good luck

Yeah, I've done a lot of audio work back in the day. Everything required custom install work.
Just dropping speakers into the Bronco's factory locations will be easy. Beyond that, its just not that important to me to dig into amps and subs.
