my son-in-law has a 2022 Ford bronco 2.3 L I did the front brakes and rotors for him with no problem. And like I’ve been seeing there’s a problem getting this particular year into brake maintenance mode well of course it did not work .I have brakes and rotors to do on the back. can I just disconnect the wires on the brake calipers in the back for each motor and then turn in the parking brake, then compress the caliper and also disconnect the battery. I just don’t wanna get myself into a situation where I damage something on his car. my daughter has a Kia and you could do all this manually with no problem. thank you so much in advance. I hope you can help appreciate it.

I haven't tried it yet, but putting it into maintenance mode should do the trick.

Here's what the instructions I found say to do:

To activate maintenance mode for the electronic parking brake (EPB) on a Ford Bronco (2021+), turn ignition to ON (do not start), release the parking brake, then fully depress the accelerator and hold the EPB switch down. Cycle the ignition OFF-ON-OFF within 5 seconds while holding both, allowing you to safely change rear pads.

Here's a video:
If doing it that way doesn't work, I'm not sure what you can do. His software might need to be updated?
