San Francisco’s legendary hills set the stage for a dramatic collision of motorsport disciplines as the Ford Raptor T1+ soared over the Oracle Red Bull Racing RB7 Formula 1 car. On Broadway’s 11° incline, off-road racer Mitch Guthrie Jr. powered the T1+ at 45mph toward a 5° ramp, launching the Dakar-bred machine skyward. Below, rallycross champion and former Formula One and NASCAR driver Scott Speed spun the RB7 in a controlled display, completing three 360-degree donuts on Divisadero as the Raptor cleared the jump in one motion.
Framed by San Francisco’s unmistakable skyline, the Ford T1+ jumped over the Oracle Red Bull Racing F1 car as a prologue to Red Bull Showrun presented by Ford Racing taking place on Marina Blvd on Saturday, February 21. Guthrie and Speed will be joined by Red Bull Test and Reserve Driver Yuki Tsunoda, and freestyle motorcyclist Aaron Colton for this city-first exhibition.

About the Drivers:
Mitch Guthrie Jr.
Mitch began competing at age 11 by working his way up through the American offroad scene. In 2018 and 2019 he won King of the Hammers, becoming the first back-to-back champion since his father. He then topped the Best In The Desert Pro class championship in 2019, which earned him a spot on the Red Bull Off-Road Junior team for Dakar 2020. In 2025 he captured a major victory at the legendary Vegas-to-Reno off-road race, piloting a Polaris RZR Pro R Factory to the overall UTV win and a top finish among all four-wheeled entries in one of the sport’s most grueling contests. Guthrie stepped up to the Dakar Rally’s Ultimate (T1+) category with the Ford Raptor T1+ as part of Ford Performance and M-Sport’s campaign, marking a major milestone in his rally-raid career.
Scott Speed
Scott Speed is one of the most versatile racers America has ever produced. At 12, Scott won his first Kart National Championship and went on to win the Red Bull Drivers Search—a nationwide talent search for potential F1 drivers. He has competed at the highest levels of Formula 1, NASCAR, IndyCar, and Rallycross—just about anything with four wheels. He transitioned to rallycross and took the top spot on the podium at his first ever rallycross race. He went on to win Global Rallycross titles in 2015, 2016 and 2017. Known for his fearless racing and adaptability, Scott brings world-class experience from nearly every corner of motorsports. Speed has shifted his competitive edge into coaching to driver development that blends physical training, mental performance, and race insight for everyone from young prospects to elite drivers.
