Don't get me wrong, I love my Bronco, but the mileage is piling up (nearly 70K so far), and I know at some point I'm going to need to start looking around for a replacement daily driver.

I already have a sedan (Pontiac G8), a full size truck (GMC Sierra C3), I'm thinking a mid-size SUV would be good. Explorers are ok, but the Everest SUV that Ford sells Down Under is sharp looking vehicle, especially in the Tremor model.

It's based on the Ranger chassis platform, which shares a lot of the drivetrain and suspension with the Bronco. Speaking of the Ranger, there are variants that other markets get (like Australia) that we don't - Ford has a Super Duty Ranger down there with a 3.0 V6 diesel, 8-lug axles, upgraded cooling, and a stronger version of the Bronco Raptor front diff.

How cool would it be to pick and choose parts from all these vehicles (that share a platform) and build serious mid-size SUV?

Take the Everest Tremor, swap in the stronger frame, upgraded cooling system, front diff, and stronger 8 lug axles from the Super Duty Ranger, drop in either the 3.0 V6 from the Bronco Raptor, or the diesel V6 from the Super Duty Ranger.

I believe Ford is going to offer a super duty ranger in 2026. (Rumor?) There is an exception w/tremor pkg available. Seen one the other day when we bought our Ranger. Maybe, just maybe the everest is coming to complete with the 4 runner and such?

Ford offers more options for the Ranger in Australia because it is the number one selling vehicle in Australia, like the F-150 is here. Also, they don't drive full sized trucks there, they are all mid size. There are no Mavericks either, so they don't have near the choices for trucks as a whole that we do in the U.S.. I was in New Zealand and Australia last year and there are Rangers everywhere you look.

Googled and it looks like that's a fact! Down under only tho. I have a f250 and love it. We had a ranger between the last two broncos, and it was a very capable little truck, I was definitely more impressed with it than I thought I would be. Looks like the SD ranger has a snorkel and sealed underbelly too, which is pretty awesome. Ford some rivers, pun intended!

Well let them go through all of the new production issues. Then hopefully when they come to the states all will be well....hopefully.

Super Duty sounds like the Bronco Raptor chassis with US 3.0L Powerstroke turbo diesel.

Hmm I like it. But I hate the Snorkel, seems like they could have done something similar to the Everglades.

Normal people take photos of historic places and buildings while abroad. Well, I’m not normal. I’ve been snapping pix of cars and trucks while I’ve been in Ireland over the past few days. It’s always interesting to see what’s available in foreign markets, and I’m always hopeful that some of the cooler options will make their way into what’s available in the states.

I came across this Ranger in my travels. This is considered a big pickup truck in Europe!

Chris here. I drive a 2-door Velocity Blue 2023 Ford Bronco Badlands with Sasquatch, Lux, a 2.7L V6, and an automatic transmission. It’s fun.

It’s not having what you want. It’s wanting what you have.

I think that move by FoMoCo will have to consider the impact of the Ranger SD on Ford's F-series sales in the states. Personally I'd rather see a Bronco pickup in Black Diamond trim with a manual.
