Off-roading

Any particular recommendations? This will be our "burst the bubble" moment with our new Bronco.

Shafer Road. Not hard, but maybe the best views in the area, IMO.
Gemini Bridges Road is a bit harder, but should be easy enough. Take the walk down to the Bridges. They are worth the few moments.
The Day Canyon/Bull Canyon spur trail off of Gemini Bridges has great views, and adds some spice.
Chicken Corners has a few interesting obstacles, and again, spectacular views.

Clearly for me, the objective is fabulous views...

The picture is at Thelma and Louise Point on Shafer...

It's been awhile, but I think we've been on Shafer Rd. Took Potash from the north end of town to Grand View Pt Rd, and have camped at Dead Horse. Haven't been NE of town where they're holding the Roadeo. I'll look up those other places!

The OffRoadeo is out towards Dome Plateau, IIRC. Turn on your off road app, and keep the track. I sure wish I had done that when I was at the Moab Off Roadeo...

All great suggestions. I would also recommend Onion Creek. Lots of water crossings and some great views.

Our OffRoadeo leader, Mandy, also suggested Onion Creek, followed by the hike to Fisher Towers. In fact, this was her first response when asked for suggestions of where to go next...

Depending on your comfort level. A stock bronco can do hells revenge and fins n things. Mentally challenging for sure. It'll amaze you at what it can do

I highly recommend checking out Arches National Park, soo many hiking paths, and the views are just unbelievable! Dont forget to answer the instructor's questions that they ask the group, as they will give you stickers for answering questions. Bring a water bottle for the car ride, and phone charger, hat and maybe sunscreen, as it is a long day, and will want to take lots of photos.

There so many trails for all experience levels. If you're nervous id say start with some easier things like, Hurrah Pass, Chicken Corners and Onion Creek. Get comfortable and work your way up to a few more challenging trails. Once you're pretty comfortable id say give Fins and Things a shot. It seems to be the HAVE to do trail for first timers as it just hits the bottom range of trails that can be a little challenging for people newer to off roading. I think just about anyone could do it with a little built up confidence.

When in July are you going? I'm headed out there from MO for another week long camping trip later in July.

We went to the June 20th event and hiked Fisher Towers. We started out very early in the morning, before 7:00 am and hiked for over 3 hours round trip. Very cool!

Also went to Canyonlands and Arches National Park.

On the day of the Off-Roadeo, at one point the Bronco we were in was registering 106 degrees outside.

We had a blast and our trail guide was fantastic.

Here are a couple of videos my girlfriend shot while I was being guided down some of the obstacles.
