2025 2026 infotainment recall

Bought a 2025 Bronco yesterday. traded in a 2007 shelby gt500 and 2024 bronco sport. did all the paperwork, turned over my vehicles and waited for it to be brought around to drive home, sales rep shows up and tells me there is a recall and ford has issued a stop sale order. I cant get my bronco. today I find out its going to be up to 2 months before I can get my bronco. the dealer gave me a maverick lowner vehicle to get home. luckily I still have my 2013 f350 king ranch

the center screen goes blank on startup so they are considering it a safety recall due to you cant use the backup camera or get warning alerts. ford is sending out a fix to dealers by March30th but possibly April 27th. they have a stop sale.order on all 2025-2026 broncos and bronco sports until its remedied. thats straight from a chat I had with FMC today

If the infotainment system overheats, it'll automatically shut down to protect itself.

Which you think would be a good thing, better to have the infotainment shut down rather than burn up. BUT, rear backup cameras are required by federal regulation, and obviously it is shown on the infotainment screen. So... technically it has to be operational.

Bummer for @awall1231 though. Dealers cannot sell vehicles with open recalls, so... yeah... bad timing.

recall notices are being mailed out March 30th to all existing customers with the affected vehicles.

I wonder if this is different then the 1st rear camera recall? I had that replaced a few weeks back. Will have to call the dealer Monday AM. I've had more recalls on a almost 3 year old truck then I have on all my other trucks combined, and that's a lot of years.

I used to work at a third-party warranty company. Our claims adjusters always griped about Cadillacs which got all the new electronic bells and whistles. This is why preppers want nothing to do with "modern" vehicles, no EFI, no ECM!

Yes, and my understanding is that it can be fixed by over-the-air updates.

got a reply from the ford public relations department and they confirmed that there is an active recall for the sale of all 2025 and 2026 broncos and bronco sports. I should have been told before they took my trade ins and signed financing paperwork. I am out my vehicles and cant get my bronco for maybe up to 2 months or more. SMDH

Yes… I went in to the dealership today, as I have a paint issue. (The paint did not adhere to the roof in a few spots… so they need to repaint the whole center roof panel. Tri-coat, and they say it will take a couple weeks! Huh?!) Anyway, on the recall, they say they are struggling as they can’t sell any remaining 2025 or 2026 models! They seem to have no idea when the “fix” is coming! Crazy! I have had no issues with my 2025 regarding this issue.

apparantly if it does this problem on start up only, you cycle the power and it stops. 12 people caused this recall. none were hurt nor has anyone.

My 2026 60th anniversary Bronco is sitting at the dealership waiting for the fix. I was supposed to pick it up Monday, very frustrating. I can go look at it but can’t drive it.

My 2026 60th anniversary Bronco is sitting at the dealership waiting for the fix. I was supposed to pick it up Monday, very frustrating. I can go look at it but can’t drive it.

FORD contacted my dealer and told them to release mine to me today. going to get it in a little bit. hope they can do the same for you. good luck and I love the ruby red metallic. try to have a great day
