Thor Build - SlashRacer’s Bronco

I normally don’t name my vehicles, but the FordPass app needed a nickname for the bronco. Thor was the first thing that came to my mind. I reserved my bronco on 7/13/20 at 10:17pm. It took over 2 hours of constantly refreshing the ford website before I was finally able to get my reservation to go through. I finally took possession of Thor on 12/27/21.

The first thing I added to Thor are the Bartact grab handles in Dozer Yellow. I think they look great! The install was easy and only required an 8mm socket.

Today I replaced the factory rock rails and added a set of ZRoadZ rock rails to Thor. I think they look great! The install was pretty easy, but there was a slight alignment issue with the front mounting holes. I had to open the holes up with a carbide dremel but to get the hole to line up.

I ordered an ARB twin compressor back in July 2021 and finally got around to installing it under the hood today. I recently purchased a mounting bracket from @4x4TruckLEDs.com and the install was easy. Unfortunately I ran out of time and did not get the compressor wired.

I love everything that you have added to your Bronco, but I just can't get pass that color of your Bronco. I start to check out your Rock Sliders and I'm drawn back into that fabulous VB color. Color looks awsome and the accessories pretty cool.

I have wheels picked out and I think would look great with VB, but they are going to wait. I need to let the bank account accumulate some money again and have several smaller items I still want to add first.

Thanks for liking my post. It’s funny that you named your Bronco Thor. I am a huge fan of Iron Man, so my kids named mine Jarvis the Computer that runs Iron Man,s suit.

We have seen every Marvel movie at least 5 times. Jarvis is a good name for your bronco.

Maybe I'll see these new wheels someday when I have my VB Bronco and we can meet out at Silverlake Sand Dunes in Mears Michigan (well of course you know where it's at) or even at Holy Oaks ORV Park. It might not be until 2023 at this rate before I get my Bronco. Most likely I will be seeing your pics. before ever seeing my Bronco.

I managed to install it without air bubbles. :cool:

If someone installs one, do it in a well lit area or have a flashlight. It was hard to see and get it started across the top and get it straight.
