2024 Big Bend Black Pearl Edition

Apr 30, 2024

Hello, and thank you all for the warm welcome. I'm excited to be here. Like I said in my intro post I have a 2024 2 door big bend. It has the 2.3 liter turbo. I just wanted to share the things I've done so far and two more things I'm installing tomorrow. So far I've put on the rough country 2 inch suspension lift. And with that I put on rough country 84 series aluminum wheels with 35" tires. I painted the centers red. They were all black. I just felt like I wanted more contrast with the vehicle. I put on a Corsa cat back dual exhaust. Not true dual. But it splits at the rear axle into two pipes. Sounds great. I did a lot of research on exhaust systems for the 2.3 and this is the only one that I've heard that has such a nice deep rumble and crackling when downshifting and slowing down. I don't think you cqn make one of these sound like a v8 but I'm super happy with the sound from this exhaust.

I also have the Kompact blowoff valve to get that "ppppshhhhhhh" sound that the stock valve doesn't hqve. The stock one just recirculate the air back into the system while the Kompact is like the old school ones so you have just another cool sound. Lol. I also put on the Roush cold air intake. I will say I started off with the lift qnd big tires and I was getting like 16.5 mpg. After installing the cold air intake and the open exhaust I'm up to 21.5 now. So I'm really happy with that. Hopefully going to improve that number a little bit more if I can.

Then I installed rough country front and rear bumpers. With 6 off road led lights on the front bumper. And then last I installed a perfect step. I forget what brand. Mqybe rough country? I'll have to look again.
And then tomorrow I'm installing a hitch and ditch lights. . That will be it for awhile then. Hqve to save up more money. Lol. But it's been a lot of fun I absolutely love driving this rig. It's a lot of fun.

One last thing I forgot qbout is I have a surron electric dirt bike. The ultra bee. And I take it everywhere with me. I have a dirtbike hitch carrier.....pictured below that I used to haul it with my f150. But I'm going to use it with my bronco also. But this week I'm starting a build with that bike carrier. I'm going to build an aluminum basket(rack) and bolt it to the bike carrier so that I can also haul things along with the bike. My bad design drawing will be in the pictures below also. So I'm excited to get that finished. Thanks again and here are some pics I just took tonight.

Thanks. I'm done for awhile after I'm done building the cargo carrier/dirtbike rack. I didn't expect to do most of the stuff I've done so far but I made so much on the truck I had . I made a lot more than I expected. Which is great for this build. I don't plan on ever selling this one. I just used all the extra money I made from my truck to do everything so far on this one which has been great. Not sure what any future mods will be but I'm sure I'll get some good ideas from reading posts here.

After you take it out to play, you'll find something.
I know I did.
