Will -12mm on a 9.5” wide rim be Too Much poke? Should be just right ??

That should look pretty good on a Sasquatch with the wide flares I would think.

Not my cup of tea but every has their own taste.
I put +20 9” on mine. Perfect for me. Flush with flare edge.

Moving to
-12 offset 9.5" wide wheels on a Sasquatch Bronco introduces several functional and mechanical challenges, primarily due to how far the wheels sit outside the vehicle's original geometry.

1. Significant Rubbing Issues
While the stock Sasquatch setup (+30mm) is designed to clear 35" tires, pushing them out with a -12mm offset creates a wider swinging arc for the tire when turning.
  • Crash Bar Interference: On many Bronco trims, fitting 35" tires with a negative offset requires the removal or replacement of the front and rear crash bars to prevent rubbing at full lock.
  • Liner and Body Contact: Even with a 2.5"–3" lift, some users report rubbing on the fender liners or OEM running boards during "full dive" (compression) or articulation.
  • 37" Tire Complications: If you upgrade to 37s, these wheels will almost certainly require coilover bump stop spacers, significant trimming, and a lift kit to avoid "free fender removal".

2. Accelerated Mechanical Wear
Changing the offset significantly alters the scrub radius, which increases the leverage applied to your suspension.
  • Wheel Bearings: The wider stance acts like a longer lever, multiplying the forces on your wheel bearings and hubs, which can lead to premature failure and grinding noises.
  • Steering Rack Stress: The added leverage puts more strain on the tie rods and steering rack, which may become a failure point in challenging terrain like deep mud or rocks.
  • Ball Joints: Expect faster wear on ball joints due to the increased lateral stress from the wider track.

3. Body and Paint Damage
With the tires poking ~1.6" past the Sasquatch flares, they are no longer "shrouded" by the bodywork.
  • Debris Kick-up: The tires will constantly throw rocks, mud, and road salt directly onto your doors, handles, and rear quarter panels.
  • Mud Flap Compatibility: Many standard mud flaps (like WeatherTech) may not provide enough coverage for a -12 offset, or may even be rubbed by the tire during tight turns.

4. Handling and Legality
  • Handling: You may experience steering kickback, increased steering effort, and reduced stability on uneven surfaces.
  • Legal Concerns: In some regions, it is illegal for the tire tread to extend beyond the fender flares without mud flaps or wider aftermarket flares.
